• Made appt to see Bruce Hollsopple at his office in Somerset to get a quote on home-owners and auto insurance. His rates were competitive to the other company we were dealing with. Upon arrival to his office, Bruce seemed like a great guy. He said he needed to see our house to proceed. He came over the day before Thanksgiving and said everything looked fine and this visit was merely a formality. He said he would give me a call later on. On November 27th he called and left a message to call him back. When I called him back I asked him to give me the final figures for the home and auto insurance. He had the home insurance figures readily available but not the auto and was acting like I was a pain in the ass for asking. Reluctantly he opened his computer program and proceeded with the figures. He did not like being asked how much the deductible was for my collision or anything for that matter. Anyway, I told him I would call him later on. I got off the phone and compared his rates with my current policy. I found out my current insurance company was not giving me a discount for my burglar alarm. I called Bruce back to ask him if the burglar alarm discount was on the policy he was offering me. He answered by telling me he was not going to have a pissing contest with another company over rates and obviously I did not appreciate a local agent with 32 years experience and it was nice knowing me and hung up the phone abruptly. Little did he know I called to start the change-over to his company regardless of the discount. All I had was one question. He was very unprofessional acting and rude to boot. I would say he is very quick to anger. I would not recommend him to anyone unless you like getting disrespected and your time has no value. You think Nationwide would have higher standards for their agents! Can you imagine what it would be like to file a claim with this guy?
